Our objective:
- To support the development of entrepreneurial and business
skills in South Africa to help grow a vibrant and self-sufficient
economy
- We make our contribution towards this by providing one
deserving candidate in the University of Cape Town's Business
Science program with tuition fees for three years of study
Meet our first bursary recipient:
Sonia
Ramautar is from Kwa-Zulu Natal. Sonia excelled in high
school, as captain of the Maths Team and Accounting Quiz Team and
received various gold medals for quizzes. Sonia has embarked
on the second year of study towards her Bachelor of Business
Science in Management Studies, where her excellent first-year
results have already revealed her to be an exceptional student.
We visit Sonia as often as we can to encourage her and guide her
through her studies. She asked us to mention how grateful she is
for this opportunity and hopes to meet our high expectations!
Our fundraising goals:
- We have raised £2691 towards our Bursary thus far in
combination with UCT's Bursary Trust
- We need to raise a further £109 by the end of 2009 to cover
Sonia's fees for 2010
"The SA Business Club is more than just a sponsor. They're an
inspiration." - Sonia Ramautar
